THREE ZIA POLYCHROME JARS
each of classic form, painted in deep orange and black over a cream slip, with an orange underbody, the first decorated with two arched bands, each enclosing a bird with upswept wings, geometric elements surmounted by a bird in each of the alternating fields; the second, with four arched bands, two enclosing birds, the other two enclosing parrots, spaced by stylized feather motifs suspended from the rim; the third, with a pair of birds, each with upswept wings and stippled body, beneath an undulating band, birds of a different design in the alternating fields
