composed of buffalo rawhide, of slightly convex circular form, overlaid with a hide cover, secured with a drawstring on the back and painted with red and blue mineral pigments, with central orb enclosing a four-pointed star, a series of four radiating zigzag lines, possibly representing lightning, a thunderbird against a dotted upper field, and panels of dashes below, all enclosed within a band of triangles along the perimeter, buffalo hide straps attached
