A SIOUX BEADED HIDE VEST
of usual form, sinew sewn and lane-stitched in numerous shades of opaque and translucent beads, decorated on the front with a pair of mounted horses, each with legs extended and bound tail, indicating a belicose state, the warriors each wearing leggings, vest, and eagle feather war bonnet, and holding aloft an American flag, the reverse, with a pair of similar warriors, each carrying a crooked lance embellished with eagle feathers, and mounted on a pinto horse with bound tail, linear devices above and below, French grosgrain ribbon attached
