POSSIBLY ENGLISH, LATE SEVENTEENTH CENTURY
Unscrewing to reveal the two containers, with pierced upper part, the lower section decorated with a chequerborad effect, with suspension loop -- 3ins. (7.5cms.); and an ormolu combination thimble and needlecase, the body stamped with scrollwork, flowers and foliage, the thimble holder containing an ormolu thimble -- 3¼ins. (8cms.) (2)
