Tapering rectangular, the cover decorated with faceted steel stud work and a mother-of-pearl cartouche engraved with a name, opening to reveal a mirrored interior and a set of Palais Royal sewing tools comprising: a gold thimble;
a pair of mother-of-pearl handled scissors;
a gold mounted mother-of-pearl needlecase;
a mother-of-pearl bodkin;
a combination knife and ear spoon;
a mother-of-pearl star thread winder;
and two mother-of-pearl reels;
length of box 4¾in. (12cms.)
