A rare French marmo nero Belgio, bronze, gilt and patinated spelter mounted revolving globe mystery timepiece
Pendule Geoscope, No.910, the globe by E. Schotte & Co., Berlin. Circa 1880
The dial with incised chapters, the large single barrel movement with circular plates signed PENDULE GEOSCOPE/BREVETÉ/FRANCE & ETRANGER and numbered 910, with Brocot escapement connected via the rear column to a remote pendulum oscillating above a 6½ in. diameter terrestrial globe with twelve paper gores and signed DIE ERDKUGEL/BERLIN, revolving against a fixed pointer to indicate world time
