The rafter frame on fabric-covered base above rosewood plinth, the silvered chapter ring with engraved numerals, the divided movement with eight day going and strike trains positioned one in front of the other, the going train with chain fusee with skeletonised barrel wound from the front, pinwheel escapement and silk suspension, the strike train wound with spring barrel and wound from the rear, with giant counwheel positioned concentrically to the going train great wheel, strike on bell; on associated giltwood plinth and under glass dome; pendulum, winding key
