The substantial cast and part-matted frame joined by eight large double baluster pillars, signed at the top BENNETT CHEAPSIDE/LONDON and on the gong stand to the rear BENNETT/Watchmaker to the/Queen/Cheapside & Cornhill/LONDON, on later mahogany plinth and under glass dome, the silvered chapter ring applied with blue enamel chapters, the eight day triple chain fusee movement with dead beat escapement, quarter chiming on eight bells and hour striking on gong, wheels with six crossings; regulator quality steel rod pendulum with glass mercury jar (without mercury), winding key
