Lot Essay

Breguet first introduced the "Type XX" aviator's chronograph circa 1954. Equipped with the fly-back, or retour en vol function, this model provided a beneficial ease of use especially to pilots.

For a similar example of the second generation of the "Type XX" chronograph wristwatch see Breguet, Breguet: Watchmakers since 1775, p. 354.
