A Gilt Metal Four Train quarter striking and repeating Verge Coach watch with alarm and calendar and leather covered outer case
inscribed Lépine à Paris, 18th Century
Frosted gilt movement with chain fusee for the going train, verge escapement and brass three arm balance with steel spring under engraved bridge cock, large silvered regulation disc, engraved barrels for hour and quarter striking and alarm spring, circular pillars, striking and repeating on bell within case back, the repeating operated by a pull cord, strike silent lever in the engraved "S/N," the white enamel dial with black Roman numerals and Arabic numeral quarters, outer calendar ring and inner alarm setting ring with blued steel hand set by turning arbor in the dial, pierced gilt hand and concentic calendar, blued steel hands, the gilt case with polished and engraved bezel, polished back with pierced sound fret, with green leather covered outer case with circular sound frets and applied decoration to the centre, large gilt gimballed pendent hanging suspenion
