Cal 24" damascened nickel 20 jewel 8 day movement with bimetallic balance with blued steel over-coil spring, the matt silvered dial with applied Arabic numerals, four subsidairy dials indicating month combined with leap year indication, day, date and phases of the moon combined with running seconds, gilt arrowhead hands, in square case with hinged back on stepped rectangular base, case, dial and movement signed

Lot Essay

According to the archives at Breguet in Paris, this piece was produced in 1930 and remained in stock for over 30 years. In 1960 it was sold, but the buyers name and amount paid were not recorded. A similar Cubist Timepiece with perpetual calendar is illustrated in Breguet - Watchmakers since 1775 by Emmanuel Breguet, p.335
