Lot Essay

The foxhound Bluecap was whelped in 1837, his sire was Mr Farquaharsons Loonger and his dam was Mr Horlocks Buxom (Foxhound Kennel Studbook Vol.11 1845-64)

Bluecap was descended from the famous foxhound of the same name that was whelped in 1758 and was known as the fastest runner on record.
