Lot Essay

This copy of Pinocchio was given to background artist Peter K. Banks by John Reed in 1947. In 1946 J.Arthur Rank opened Gaumont British Animation studios at Moor Hall, Cookham, Berks where Banks worked, the studio was headed by David Hand, John Reed, Ralph Wright and Ray Patterson all of whom were from Walt Disney Studios.
