A rare velvet and felt Dean's Mickey Mouse Jazzer, with white felt hands, brown leather feet reinforced with circular rubber patches, blue shorts, felt ears and printed face with black metal eyes, the back applied with a flexible wire 'tail', causing Mickey to dance upon a rotating record when fixed to a gramophone tonearm (missing tonearm attachment), in original box - 6in. (15.2cm.) high

Lot Essay

The Mickey Mouse Jazzer appeared in Dean's sale catalogue between 1933-1936. However, after only limited success the toy was withdrawn from sale in 1936 as it was found to damage the records it danced upon.
