HIGH PRICES FOR ENGLISH PATIENTS. Freud writes to a colleague explaining that it is his pupil Dr Stekel who has reported success in the treatment of stuttering by psychoanalysis, and expressing his confidence that Stekel would like to treat the 19-year old stutterer, but the patient would have to be able to speak German -- he himself does take English-speaking patients but at a high fee. 'Dr. Freud also mentions his holiday plans.

Dr Wilhelm Stekel (1868-1940), one of Freud's early and most distinguished disciples, is said to have analysed over 10,000 patients. His relationship with Freud later became more distant.
