"Surprise, surprise! One of the least acclaimed 1982s, the Haut-Bages-Liberal has developed beautifully. It is crammed with thick, juicy, licorice/olive/smoky, roasted, ripe black currant fruit. Full-bodied, thick and juicy, without enough complexity to merit an outstanding rating, this mouthfilling, savory, super-concentrated, jammy Pauillac is already delicious, yet it reveals no signs of age.
