Or, a Summarie Discourse, proouing: the Wearing, and Nourishing of a Locke, or Loue-Locke, to be altogether Vnseemely, and Vnlawfull vnto Christians. 4° (189 x 133mm). (Foremargin of B1 a little frayed with no loss of text, lightly browned throughout). Early 20th-century black half roan. Provenance: Thomas Edward Watson (bookplate; by descent to the present owners). FIRST EDITION, issue with 'needes' on D2r, of probably Prynne's second book, a vituperative attack, lacking any sense of proportion, on this harmless manifestation of prevailing fashions. STC 20477.
