Caroline, Countess of Harrington (1722-1784), in lace-bordered light blue dress with ribboned bodice, lace-bordered white silk cloak with blue bow at elbow, black ribbon choker, lace cap in her upswept and curled hair; pillar, sky and cloud background
gilt-metal frame, the reverse engraved with the sitter's name and dates

Literature
Lady Caroline Fitzroy, eldest daughter of Charles, 2nd Duke of Grafton and his wife Henrietta, married William, 2nd Earl of Harrington (1719-1779) in 1746 and had issue.
