For the past 38 years I have lived in a Californian bungalow in the seaside suburb of Tamarama, and as much as is possible tried to emulate the atmosphere of an English country home, albeit, on a modest scale. My Georgian and Chinese furniture was collected with the purpose of mixing them with Chinese and Japanese porcelains to achieve this ambience, which I achieved to suit my own eclectic taste. I have had great fun and satisfaction in searching out these particular items which have become like old friends over the years we have lived together, and I hope that whoever purchases them, cares and provide s a welcoming home to accommodate them for future decades.
