Collation: [112 2-2210 23-246; 25-3610 37-386; 39-4110 42-4310 44-4810; 496]. 468 leaves; 1/2-48/10 foliated j-ccclxj double column, 51 lines (varable) and headline, initial spaces, shoulder notes to Gospels. Types: 3:110G, 4:160G. Unrubricated. (1/1 pasted to front free endpaper, with short internal tears, scattered light marginal dampstaining, heavier at beginning and end, some occasional light staining, slight worming to first and last few leaves.) Contemporary pigskin over half-bevelled wooden boards, roll-tooled in blind, two clasps, ink lettered vellum spine labels; modern quarter calf folding case. Provenance: Graf Schweickhart von Helfenstein (1539-1599), (inscription dated 1578 on front free endpaper); Donaueschingen, Fürstenberg, Court Library (small gilt numbered vellum label on spine, sale Sotheby's London, 1 July 1994, lot 52).

Koberger's last Royal folio Vulgate Bible of the 15th-century, and this includes, like the editions of 1477, 1478, 1479 (Goff B-552, 557, 559, 564), the tract of Menardus. BMC II:418; BSB-Ink.
