This address leaf contains over a dozen words in Washington's graceful, flowing script. The panel is addressed to "Colonel William Augustus Washington, Haywood in Westmoreland." And in the lower left corner Washington penned the further direction for the "Post Office at the XRoads." The frank is noted at the top right corner. A fine example of a Washington free frank.
