All were printed by Hall & Sellers of Philadelphia), one side printed in red and black, each approximately 2¾ x 3¾ in., ALL MINT OR NEAR-MINT AND UNCANCELLED. Each obligating the state to repayment of principal and interest at 5 per annum by 31 December 1786. Includes: MASSACHUSETTS. Five dollar note, woodcut borders, numbered in ink, signed by E. Wales and another official -- NEW JERSEY. Eight dollar note, woodcut borders, numbered in ink, signed by D. Brearly and P. Dickinson -- MARYLAND.
