The tea-service, mark of John and Edward Barnard, London, 1853, the teaspoons, mark of George Adams, London, 1853, the sugar-tongs, mark of John and Edward Barnard overstriking that of George Adams, London, 1872
Comprising a small teapot, cream-jug and sugar-bowl, each with beaded borders and ribs, the sides bright-cut with shamrocks and foliate sprigs, the teapot with hinged cover and baluster finial, the scroll handle with ivory insulators, each marked on base and stamped with pattern mark, with two teaspoons and a pair of sugar-tongs, similarly decorated, each marked, with a pair of porcelain teacups and saucers painted with floral sprays, all in a lined and fitted case stamped 'James Muirhead & Sons Glasgow'
