Oblong on four sphinx feet, with gadrooned and Greek key borders, with two pen-wells, the centre with two square frames flanking a central circular frame, each on four lion's paw feet and with Greek key border, the square frames each holding a diamond-cut blue glass jar with silver mounts and detachable pierced silver cover, the central mount with a detachable baluster candlestick, the stand engraved with a coat-of-arms, initials 'MC', and an inscription in Greek, marked on base, mounts, covers, base of central frame and candlestick
