Mark of George Wickes, London, 1728
Tapering cylindrical and on rim foot, with double scroll handle, openwork scroll thumbpiece and hinged domed cover, the body engraved with a coat-of-arms within baroque scalework and foliate scroll cartouche on a hatched ground, engraved 'S Salmon' beneath the base, marked on base and in cover, the base faintly engraved with scratchweight '35=17'

The arms are those of Salmon, Yorkshire
