Almost certainly purchased by George Byng Esq. M.P. (d.1847) in Paris and by descent.

Literature
Probably those listed on the undated R. & S. Garrard handwritten inventory to the inside of the silver chest, under 2 Prs 13 inch shell foot Candlesticks.
