etching with drypoint, 1641, with part of a Crowned Fleur-de-Lys with pendant initials WR watermark (cf. Briquet 7211), a good, early impression, with burr on the reeds at the left and on the signature and the grass at lower right, the distant townscape printing well, trimmed on or just outside the platemark, with made-up thread margins, plate edges faintly touched-in, two unobtrusive vertical folds mainly visible verso, an unobtrusive printer's crease in the blank sky at right, generally in good condition
