This photographic series was originally exhibited as posters on the London Underground, commissioned by inIVA, London. The series was the result of Shonibare's three day performance as a Victorian dandy at a stately home in Herefordshire. The series of five large photographs was exhibited in 1999-2000 in a touring exhibition at the Castle Museum and Art Gallery, Nottingham; the Laing Art Gallery, Higham Place in Newcastle upon Tyne and at the Towner Art Gallery and Museum in Eastbourne.
