A KELSTERBACH SILVER-MOUNTED SCENT-BOTTLE
CIRCA 1761-1764
Modelled by Johann Carl Vogelmann, as a young man seated with his legs crossed, wearing a purple-edged white long coat, a white waistcoat with red stripes, white breeches with clusters of purple dots and black boots, seated on a scroll-moulded shaped triangular base enriched in purple, his right foot resting on a green dolphin with black, red and yellow markings, the crown of his head with a silver mount, his silver hat forming the stopper (right hand a replacement, remaining figure with considerable over-painting disguising undetermined damage, minute chip to underside edge of base)
