A CHELSEA FABLE-DECORATED OCTAGONAL BEAKER AND A SAUCER
CIRCA 1750-2
Painted in the manner of Jefferyes Hammett O'Neale with the fable of The Lion and the Mouse, the struggling lion caught in a net, the mouse nibbling at a rope, in a continous wooded landscape, the saucer with The Fowler and the Snake, the kneeling figure taking aim at a bird, the snake coiled around his leg, within a black and red double concentric circle cartouche surrounded by scattered flowers, brown-line rims (minute areas of wear to rims)
The beaker 2¾ in. (7 cm.) high, the saucer 5¼ in. (13.3 cm.) wide (2)
