Two Meissen flared beaker vases
1740, BLUE CROSSED SWORDS MARKS TO BOTH, ONE ABOVE K FOR KRETSCHMAR, PRESSNUMMER 23 TO FOOTRIMS
Each similarly painted, in underglaze-blue and a bright Oriental palette and gilding, probably by J.E. Stadler, with a figure and an attendant beside a youth with a fan between a vase on terracing and flowering branches below a bird in flight between gilt lines (one vase with rim chip, slight wear to gilt rims and minor scattered scratches to enamels)
