THE FIRST 1701-22, DE GRIEKSCHE A, APK MARK FOR PIETER KOCX OR HIS WIDOW JOHANNA VAN DER HEUL, TWO PLATES DE WITTE STER, ONE DATED 1721, * MARK, THE OTHER CIRCA 1720, * 4 MARK, THE FOURTH PLATE AND TWO DISHES SECOND QUARTER OF THE 18TH CENTURY
Comprising:
Two plates (one De Grieksche A and one De Witte Ster) with six shaped panels with flowers radiating from a central medallion, one enclosing a bouquet, the border with an oval panel inscribed AF 1721 (slight flaking and chipping to rims to both);
A De Witte Ster plate with a vase of flowers within a circular geometric cartouche, the border with flowers (chipping and slight flaking to rim, one chip with associated crack);
A small plate with a central medallion of flowers and foliage within bold foliage scrolls enclosing panels of flowers (chipping and flaking to rim);
Two dishes with birds perched on scrolls issuing from vases of flowers, the borders with bold foliate motifs within piecrust rims (chipping and flaking to rims, one extensive)
The smallest plate 7 5/8 in. (19.5 cm.) diam.; the largest 8¾ in. (22.1 cm.) diam.; the dishes 8 5/8 in. (22 cm.) and 9 in. (22.8 cm.) wide (6)
