decorated with filigree work and granulation, a boss in each corner and a central circular garnet in setting, with later hook -- 1 3/8in. (3.5cm.) high, 11th-12th Century A.D.; a Byzantine earring, with rectangular openwork panel, decorated with filigree and granulation, wire below threaded with turquoise and gold granule beads -- 1 3/8in. (3.5cm.) high, 11th Century A.D.; a pendant gold earring, in the form of a stylized openwork amphora decorated with filigree and granulation, the neck with twin scrolled handles, around the base hang six miniature pomegrantate pendants, on hinged clasp -- 1 7/8in.
