A pale blue glazed composition shabti
for 'Psamtek, born of Seba-rekhytw', with fine crisp detail, wearing striated tripartite wig and holding a pick, hoe and seed basket, with an uninscribed back pillar and eight horizontal lines of inscription, with a version of Chapter XXVI of the Book of the Dead, integral square base -- 6¾in. (17.2cm.) high, Dynasty XXVI (664-525 B.C.); and a green glazed composition shabti, wig in darker glaze, uninscribed -- 4½in. (11.4cm.) high, Ptolemiac, 4th-1st Century B.C. (2)
