Lot Essay

This work is sold with a photo-certificate from Dr Andrei Nakov dated Paris, 15 octobre 2003 and will be included in his forthcoming supplement to the Malevich catalogue raisonné.

Composition belonged to Eckhard Neumann, a German art historian, who is best known for his seminal texts on the Bauhaus, including Bauhaus and Bauhaus People, Personal Opinions and Recollections of Former Bauhaus Members and Their Contemporaries (New York, 1970).
