12o (165 x 104 mm). 24 pages. "Man of Signs" woodcut on [A]2r. (A few stains.) Disbound.

A fine South Carolina imprint. The calculations are evidently those of John Tobler, perhaps with adaptations by another hand. The calculations for the sun and moon are identical with those in his South Carolina and Georgia almanack for 1770, except for those of the moon's place which contain slight variations. The unusually full aspects, and other astronomical data in the same column on the calendar pages, correspond almost exactly to Tobler's, with some material added. The almanac bears no resemblance to the 1770 issue of the authentic Poor Thomas series, which were published in New York. Drake 13109; Sabin 87759.
