FIRST EDITION. Nystel was taken captive by the Comanches in Texas in 1867, at the age of fourteen. He was traded and released six months later. The inserted slip bears the printed signatures of thirteen citizens of Bosque County, Texas certifying that they believe the facts given by Nystel to be true. Graff 3507; Howes N-233.
