                                            A LARGE JAPANESE SHIBAYAMA STYLE TUSK VASE AND CARVED WOOD STAND, 19TH CENTURY
inlaid in mother-of-pearl, coral, tortoiseshell and stained ivory with a pheasant and hen seated in a blossoming tree, the reverse with song birds in flight above swirling water and flower spays, attached to a lobed wood base, the large fitted wood stand carved and pierced with flower panels -- vase 15in. (38cm.) high.
