Tasting note: The exceptional 1999 Monpra is a proprietary blend of 50 Nebbiolo, 40 Barbera, and 10 Cabernet Sauvignon aged 18 months in barrel. Its dark ruby/purple color is accompanied by sweet aromas of black currant and cherry fruit interspersed with graphite, camphor, and licorice scents.
