by SWIFT & SON 43, UNIVERSITY ST.LONDON.W.C., the body-tube with rack and pinion eyepiece adjustment, rack and pinion focusing and micrometer fine adjustment, the circular mechanical stage with circumference degree scale, mechanical substage condensor with rack and pinion adjustment and articulated plano-concave mirror, the main limb tilting atop a raised U-shaped foot, with three eyepieces, Swift ¼, ½, 1 and 2in. objectives in signed canisters, double nosepiece, polariser, analyser, live box, parabolic condensor, a few glass slides, a table bull's-eye condensor and Practical Hints on the Selection and Use of the Microscope by John Phin (New York, 1977), 8°, stamped leatherette-covered boards with gilt lettering and gilt stamping of a microscope on the cover, in a mahogany case with three drawers, brass handle and glazed door -- 45.4cm.
