the black leather-bound case unfolding to reveal a compartmentalised central section housing ten (of fourteen) bottles of antidotes to poisons, all with extensive paper content labels and chamois leather lid covers, a tin box with manuscript paper label for Specacuanha Powders 30 grains in each containing six sachets, and other items, the case with carrying handle and sprung catch, the red paper-lined interior with a stamped gilt maker's mark for Burroughs, Wellcome & Co Manufacturing Chemists Snow Hill, London, E.C. and a paper reference table for poisons and their antidotes -- 34 x 17 x 12.5cm.
