NEWTON'S New & Improved TERRESTRIAL GLOBE Published by NEWTON & Son 66 Chancery Lane, LONDON, made up of twelve hand-coloured engraved gores, the equatorial and ecliptic graduated in degrees, the latter with sigils for the houses of the Zodiac, the oceans with tracks of various explorers including Captain Cook and Captain Biscoe, the Antarctic with Enderby's Land, the continents outlined in red, green and orange and showing towns, cities, rivers, deserts and mountains in pictorial relief (some small chips to varnish and minor discolouration);
NEWTON'S Improved Pocket Celestial GLOBE, made up of twelve hand-coloured engraved gores, the equatorial, colures and ecliptic graduated in degrees, the last with sigils for the houses of the Zodiac, the pictorial constellations with stars to various orders of magnitude, some with Latin names;
both with unengraved brass meridian half-circle, raised on a baluster oak column on concave triangular base with three bun feet -- 15.8cm. (6¼in.) high (2)
