CRUCHLEY'S NEW TERRESTRIAL GLOBE From the most recent Authorities EXHIBITING THE DISCOVERIES IN EQUATORIAL AFRICA, NORTH POLE and the new Settlements & Discoveries of AUSTRALIA, NEW ZEALAND, CALIFORNIA, TEXAS &c. LONDON G.F. CRUCHLEY MAP SELLER, GLOBE MAKER & PUBLISHER 81 FLEET STREET (c.1850), made up of two sets of twelve hand-coloured engraved gores, with graduated equatorial, ecliptic and equinoctial colure, the oceans with trade winds and an analemma, Antarctica with portions of coastline and various notes, the continents with some nation states outlined in green and red, shaded green or yellow, and well-detailed (extensive discolouration, cracking, abrasions and heat damage) in a stamped brass meridian half-circle graduated in two quadrants atop a turned fruitwood column and concave triform base with three bun feet --48cm.
