Berlin, Fromery Workshop, or Paris, the silver mounts Paris, 1748-1749 with the charge and discharge marks of Antoine Leschaudel 1744-1750, maker's mark illegible, the second with the discharge mark of Louis Robin 1738-1744
Rectangular white enamel on copper box, the slightly domed cover and sides decorated with a raised gilded pattern of birds and dogs in foliate garlands within a border with trailing foliage, the base similarly decorated with gold-bordered translucent green enamel border; together with rectangular white enamel on copper box, the cover decorated with raised gilded trophies of gardening within gilded foliate swags with translucent green and blue enamel, the sides with variously gilded and enamelled decorations of flaming torches and ribbons, a bird feeding its young with scattered star background and the base with central gilded and blue enamel decoration within gold-edged translucent green enamel border
