Rectangular, the cover painted with three putti capturing a white dove and placing it in a bird cage, within purple Rococo scroll and shell cartouche within outer bamboo ornament, flowers and scrolling foliage on a gilt ground, the counter-enamel painted with a seated shepherdess playing a flute under a tree within shaped oval cartouche, within later silver-gilt frame with bright-cut border
