Contemporary French night blue morocco, sides ruled with triple fillet along edges, spine gilt, edges gilt, apparently by Padeloup (rubbing to raised bands, spine ends and corners). LARGE-PAPER COPY of an early edition of this important bibliography of Italian literature. The work was first published in 1706 and is divided in three parts: The first is on the origin and development of the Italian language; the second part deals with its development through the works that have been written in the Italian language, and the third part is a bibliography of classical books in all genres.
