FIRST EDITION. A manuscript copy of the presentation poem by Maittaire included in the Royal Library copy is tipped in. The earliest historical and bibliographical monograph on 16th-century Parisian typography, specifically the lives and work of Simon de Colines, Adrien Turnèbe, Michel Vascosan, the Morel clan, and Jean Bienné.
