Contemporary blue half morocco [by Jean-Philippe Belz], top-edges gilt, others uncut, (binding rubbed at extremities). Provenance: Chevalier R. Marchetti (1876 Sotheby sale) -- Serge A. Sobolewski (armorial bookplate).

Baseggio's and Brunet's bibliographical notes on Alcibiade (1652), Ferrante Pallavicini's satire of sodomy and paedophilia, and related clandestinely published works. This edition was limited to 252 numbered copies on Holland paper and ONLY TWO COPIES ON VELLUM. Ashbee I, p. 29.
