Quired in sixes (220 x 145 mm). PRINTED ON VELLUM, one of three copies. 21 illustrations. Retrospective mosaic binding by Roger Devauchelle for B.H. Breslauer: gold-tooled brown morocco inlaid with black, beige, and red morocco, decorated to a 16th-century Parisian design.

Exemplaire de tête, numbered 1, of THREE COPIES ON VELLUM and 50 on old paper. Adam Pilinski (1810-87) was the leading facsimile scribe of France, comparable to the English pen-facsimilist John Harris (1791-1873). The present facsimile is lithographic and was probably written by Pilinski directly on the stone. There are two Le Petit Laurens editions, both now recognized as incunables and of great rarity. Pilinski's facsimile reproduces the edition described by Tchémerzine (IV, 742, a) and Davies, F-M French 377; not Copinger 4025, Goff M-566.
