FIRST EDITION of Freyer's essay on miniature book collecting and Petri's catalogue of Vera V. Rosenberg's important collection of antiquarian miniature books. The publisher Abraham Horodisch (1898-1987) was the driving force behind this study of miniature books, in which he had a lifelong interest. He fled the Nazis to settle in Amsterdam where he founded Erasmus Antiquariaat and survived the war. He recognized at an early date Picasso's importance as a book illustrator, and donated his own collection of German Expressionists to the Tel Aviv Museum. This is the exemplaire de tête of Mikrobiblion, number A of 6 COPIES ON VELLUM numbered A-F; 420 copies were printed on paper, 20 on chine. Bondy 207.
